Operates two production units for polymer-grade propylene using the propane dehydrogenation (PDH) method. With an annual capacity of 450,000 tons of polymer-grade propylene and an additional 450,000 operational units will be supplied via pipeline from the adjacent Kangan Petro-Refining Complex
Allay Mehestan Petrochemical
Due to the shortage of propylene in the country and the market's demand for propylene and polypropylene—alongside the availability of propane in the Asaluyeh region—the development of downstream propane units is of critical importance. Producing propylene through propane dehydrogenation (PDH) is one of the most important and commercially recognized methods globally, with numerous operational units currently utilizing this process. The PP unit is one of the key end-uses of propylene, and therefore, the construction of a PP unit to utilize the output from the PDH unit has been prioritized. This project is expected to generate approximately USD 630 million in annual revenue. The implementation began in Tir 1401 and was scheduled for completion within 48 months.
